Secondary Lead: Small Discount Emerges for Cargoes Self-Picked Up from Production Site, Downstream Purchases as Needed [SMM Lead Midday Review]

SMM August 18 News:
The SMM #1 lead average price fell by 25 yuan/mt WoW to 16,675 yuan/mt. There were fewer quotations for secondary refined lead. Mainstream ex-works prices without tax were 15,650-15,750 yuan/mt; mainstream ex-works prices with tax were quoted at premiums of 0~+50 yuan/mt against the SMM #1 lead average price, while some cargoes self-picked up from production site were at a discount of 20 yuan/mt. Downstream battery producers made purchases based on rigid demand, and the trading of refined lead was moderate. The purchasing sentiment for secondary refined lead today was 0.66, and the selling sentiment was 0.88 (historical data can be accessed in the database).
